Huge crowds are living in the main square in Cairo, to strengthen their demand for the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak.
The "day of departure" rally in Tahrir Square have been waving flags by thousands of protesters and chanting "Leave! Leave! Leave!" Soldiers have been guarding the area to control distraction by Mubarak supporters.
Mr Mubarak has declared that he is fed up with being in power, but that he does not want to resign as it will cause disorder.
