Madawaska man shares story of survival on the mountain. Katahdin

Latest news: Twenty-one years, Chris Dubois of Madawaska was hiking with friends on the mountain on Saturday. They went Helon Taylor Trail, when strong winds knocked Dubois off the scent. Cut off from his group, he was left stranded on Katahdin night. While frostbite set in which caused his feet to freeze. Emergency services eventually found Dubois on Sunday, and he was taken away by Katahdin Maine Army National Guard.Since were hospitalized, frostbite Dubois healed considerably. There is optimism that he will make a full recovery.
