The man, Marc Alexander Ringland was shot dead by an off-duty police officer in Belfast .He was 29-year-old and he was from the east of the city. He died during a suspected robbery at a petrol station on the Albertbridge Road on Thursday.
He had a knife during carrying out a robbery claimed by Investigators are examining.Twenty investigators Office are working to establish what led to the shooting.By studying CCTV footage of the events in the filling station which could provide vital clues as to why Mr Ringland was killed.It is believed the officer was in the petrol station when the robbery is suspected to have taken place. He shot the man who died at the scene. Nobody else was injured in the incident.
