Herb Ritts took phoots of Madonna

Latest news: Herb Ritz took Madonna and Rosanna Arquette photos  at the time of publicity shoot for his hit film Desperately Seeking Susan, which was originally deemed too "lesbian," according to veteran publicist Reid Rosefelt.
Rosefelt, who worked as a publicist in 1985 mistaken identity comedy, recalls the day when he first said that Madonna will Ritts photographed her and a colleague Arquette for promotional pictures, and possibly movie poster. "Is he gay?" Madonna asked. "Gays take good pictures of me." Rosefelt recalls that during the meeting for a campaign film agency pitching the campaign, which is traded on the frustrated housewife movie plot, with a face on the toaster Arquette and Madonna's face on the toast. Thinking pictures were horrible, Rosefelt pulled photos from the session Ritts, resulting in silence in the room. "Some people in the Orion thought that the image will make people think she was a lesbian movie," wrote Roseflet. "Fortunately, the film producers, Midge Sanford and Sarah Pillsbury, were able to do their job." Late photographer will go to capture some of the most famous images of the music icon, including the cover of her 1986 album True Blue, as well as live video for the single "Cherish". Rosefelt writes about spending a lot of time alone with a pre-superstar Madonna during the shoot, where she even asked his opinion of one of her unreleased songs. Years later he met with Madonna in a studio and re-introduced myself, saying that he had worked with her for Susan.
